Former vice prime-minister Yolly Gurbanmuradov accused of embezzling US $ 68 mln
Turkmenistan's Prosecutor General Gurbanbibi Atajanova reported this at a government sitting yesterday.

According to Atajanova, an investigation team, set up by the Ministry of National Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Prosecutor's office, with the participation of experts, has confiscated a total of US $ 23 mln worth of Gurbanmuradov's property that was obtained with embezzled funds. It included 20 houses and flats, 18 cars, including Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, antique Turkmen gold and silver jewelries with a total weigh of 450 kg, 300 pieces of antique Turkmen women's dress, 4,580 heads of sheep and goats, 28 heads of cattle.

According to the General Prosecutor, the investigation group has established that Yolly Gurbanmuradov misappropriated and embezzled a total of US $ 68 mln of state resources. The investigation against him is under way, the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports.
