President of Turkmenistan outraged by bad condition of Ashgabat belt road
On February 25, at the end of his working visit to Ahal province, on the way back to Ashgabat, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a few stops on the belt road being built around the Turkmen capital.

After inspecting a section of the highway, the Turkmen leader sharply criticized relevant officials for improper provision of necessary facilities, in particular the unsatisfactory condition of passenger transport stops. Having reprimanded Minister of Road Transport Gurbanmyrat Hangulyev, Chairman of state concern Turkmenavtoyollary Ashir Sarybaev, governors of Akhal province and the city of Ashgabat, the President of Turkmenistan instructed them to correct the shortcomings as soon as possible, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) said.

The head of state also criticized poor-quality of road curbs, emphasizing the inadmissibility of such negligence. Proceeding further, the President noted that the construction of the highway also leaves much to be desired. Noting the lack of proper control over the situation at this important facility, the head of state demanded that immediate measures should be taken to restore the order, the news agency reports.
